Why are we called “Haight Street Eyecare”?
Upon graduating from Southern California College of Optometry in 1979, Dr. Terrence Chan started practicing Optometry on Fillmore Street with Dr. Collin Chu. In 1981 he began working with Dr. Robert Chew in the Haight Ashbury and practiced at Haight Street Eyecare for over 20 years.
In 2001 we were forced to relocate and came full circle to our present location... back at the office Dr. Chan started at (Dr. Chu has since retired). Although we miss "The Haight" we are thankful for our new home at 1752 Fillmore Street.
Dr. Clifford Leong
Dr. Clifford Leong is a bay area native graduating from the State University of New York Optometry School. After working a few years in New York, he comes back home. His hobbies include snowboarding, basketball and traveling.
Dr. Jenny F. Yuen
Dr. Jenny Yuen has worked in our office since being a high school senior. She has since graduated from University of California at Berkeley and received her Doctor of Optometry from UC Berkeley Optometry school. She has relocated to Hong Kong for the immediate future for personal reasons. We miss her much.
